The customer wants to check the position of the load when lifting on a double girder overhead crane to ensure that it is properly balanced.
A linear cable displacement sensor is installed on each of the overhead crane's winches.
These sensors measure the position of each hook in real time, making it possible to check that the load is lifted horizontally.
The information obtained also allows the speed of each winch to be adjusted in real time to correct any imbalances.
Thanks to their simple design, these sensors can be installed without mechanical modifications to the existing lifting system.
The attachment is done using the four slotted holes of the sensor, while the end of the wire rope is connected to the hook by an eyelet.
