Our fibre-optic Bragg grating sensors provide characteristics which open up new horizons for measurement:
- Ability to distribute sensors along a single optical fibre and over long distances (several kilometres), which makes cabling much simpler.
- Immune to electromagnetic interference, resistant to water and corrosion and intrinsically non-explosive, they are able to provide totally reliable measurements in the most extreme environments.
- Their great resistance to cyclical fatigue allows them to maintain performance for over 20 years on structures under permanent strain.
