SCAIME, specialist in industrial weighing, is developing its AVX single point load cell, intended for the construction of scales and packaging machines for the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Offering weighing capacities from 7.5 kg to 125 kg, the AVX is distinguished by its very high accuracy and its ability to operate in the most demanding environments. Madeof stainless stell and hermetically sealed, it offers the highest level of environmental protection IP68/IP69K, allowing it to be used in wet environments or where frequent high-pressure washing is required.
In order to further improve its resistance to corrosive environments, SCAIME has optimized the design of the AVX load cell by adopting 1.4418 stainless steel for capacities up to 75kg. This material gives the load cell enhanced protection against corrosion, making it now perfectly suited to seafood packaging applications and particularly aggressive saline environments.
Salt spray tests were carried out to qualify this development. The results showed a clear improvement in corrosion resistance.
Thanks to an innovative measuring principle, it manages to combine perfect sealing with a high level of metrological performance. The AVX load cell is available in C3 or C6 certified versions according to the requirements of the OIML (International Organization of Legal Metrology), for commercial weighing applications.
