The customer needed reliable safety control to ensure safe lifting of the boats, avoiding any imbalance or overloading.
They wanted real-time monitoring of forces at each lifting point, with a solution that complied with standards and featured redundancy for maximum safety.
The aim was to ensure system reliability, extend equipment life and reduce the risk of incidents.
Customized M16 load pins were installed on each pulley of the multi-point lifting system to measure the force applied to each cable in real time.
This continuous monitoring ensures that the load is evenly distributed over the eight lifting points, preventing any imbalance that could compromise the maneuver.
To ensure maximum safety and reliability, each load pins is equipped with two strain gage bridges, providing redundant measurements. This double measurement ensures immediate detection of any anomaly, prevention of malfunctions and reliable data transmission to the supervision system.
The entire lift is controlled by a PLC that continuously collects 4-20 mA signals from the sensors. It dynamically adjusts load distribution, reacting instantly to any imbalance to guarantee safe, controlled lifting.
In addition to automated control, each sensor is linked to an IM-P indicator, enabling operators to visualize applied forces locally and in real time. This direct visual monitoring enables them to react quickly in the event of an anomaly, and to optimize operational safety.
