OMNIPESAGE was looking for a particularly robust load cell with a capacity of 30 to 40 t, for the construction of new weighbridges for high-traffic industrial sites, and for the modernization of older-generation mechanical weighbridges.
The load cell had to be certified in accuracy class C4 according to OIML recommendation R60, to meet the accuracy requirements of legal-for-trade metrology in industry, particularly in the food and chemical sectors.
To meet the customer's needs, SCAIME and OMNIPESAGE developed the CPBO, a column-type compression load cell specially designed for weighbridge applications.
