IMECA’s customers needed a tower instrumentation system.
Previously, IMECA had been using classic gauges welded to the structure, but the gauges were becoming damaged by corrosion.
We proposed OBSG-120 fibre-optic gauges which were glued to the structure. Our know-how in gluing under maritime conditions, accredited by the German BAM institute enabled us to distribute a dozen gauges across the structure and connect them to an MDX400T-X acquisition unit.
